The
Grading System:
Students must maintain a minimum average of 60% or 70% in
Science or Homeopathy courses. Students who fail to achieve
the minimum grade on any given examination may be required
to make arrangements to improve their standing. Students will
be granted only one opportunity for the rewriting of an examination
or assignment. The maximum grade awarded after successful
remediation is 70%.
Failure
of a Course:
Students must retake any failed course in the next session
in which the course is available. Charges will apply. Unless
otherwise prearranged, failure to write an exam constitutes
failure of that exam. Failing the same course twice will result
in a dismissal.
Code
of Conduct:
The HCC will not tolerate cheating, misrepresentation, unfairness,
or dishonesty in any form. Other offenses which may lead to
suspension or dismissal are as follows: student conduct which
threatens the well-being of fellow students, staff, patients
or the profession; practising homeopathy outside of the Teaching
Clinic or without HCC supervision. No tuition refund will
be given to students dismissed for any of the above reasons.
Advanced
Standing:
Applicants with credits from an accredited educational institution
may be exempt from the equivalent courses in the program.
Students seeking advanced standing must apply to the Dean.
All academic policies, rules and regulations are outlined
in detail in the HCC Student Handbook, distributed to students in the beginning
of the first school term. Any policy, procedure or regulation defined in the
Student Handbook has precedent over that which is defined here, or on other
parts of the web site or in any other printed literature.
